As I got into work, my current direct manager came over to check on me and get a download of things that happened while she was on PTO and a temperature check on how I was feeling about the change. It is so odd for me to be treated this way. I can't decide if it's courteousness or if they think I am fragile (the only thing making me fragile is keeping my mouth shut and my opinions to myself), or if they genuinely care about what I think and feel about the situation. I'm a contractor, I go with the flow.
