Mamavation Monday - Back on the Bandwagon

March 14, 2011
Sort of. I have been completely off for about a month while we packed and moved. It was the easiest and least stressful item to let go of on my ever-growing to do list.

But I'm back. My new place is slowly coming under control, though there is still a lot of organization, downsizing, and freecycling that needs to be done. I'm thinking that by the end of the month we can have close friends over. Wouldn't that be nice?

In the meantime I've balanced high calorie pizza slices and meals from Dennys with LOTS of walking. I get between 5000 and 11000 steps per day now. Most from walking to and from the train station, walking the dogs more frequently, and climbing three stories of stairs repeatedly throughout the day.

The Hunk and I will be starting P90x soon.  We finally have enough room in the living room. Now I just need to find my scale. The last time I weighed in, I was 188lbs. You have never seen someone so happy to FINALLY be under 190lbs.

Some of the things I've eaten in the last week

I ate the strawberry and took the cookies home to my kids. I nibbled on other things the rest of the night.

Salmon and crostini from Drago Centro. Fairly filling and good for me.
SNACKS! Just picked these up yesterday at Costco
Brown rice, black beans, and a chicken enchilada from Wahoo's.
BLOGGING CARNIVAL: This week’s blogging carnival is sponsored by Fit Studio.
Question: What time of day works best for you to be active?  How do you make sure you stick to those planned workouts?
Answer:  I work out best in the morning, which is a problem because I am a natural night-owl. I'm slowly trying to train myself to get up just a little earlier to get in a walk (and soon the above mentioned P90x) because I just don't have the time once I get home from work. At least if I work out in the morning I can check off one huge item on my To-Do list :D Mornings are also about the only time of day I have completely to myself.

  2. Thanks, but it's been two weeks since we moved in. I don't want to take another six weeks to get unpacked!

  3. Glad you're back. Ugh! Moving can be stressful, it feels like it'll take forever to get everything right again. But you're still moving your body, even if it's not a designated workout, it counts. Keep your head up, you'll be moving in the right direction in no time.

  5. It's amazing how much weight can be lost with all the activity that comes along with moving! Good luck getting settled in. I'm sure that will be such a relief when it's finished. :)
