Time Management

January 5, 2010

The hardest thing about my goal to lose 45lbs (still holding steady at 190#) is finding the time to exercise. It takes me way too long to get started in the mornings, though this is partially due to what I call "Advil PM hangovers". My idea was to get up at 6, do Wii Fit till 630, and then start my day.

It took my mom and a friend calling me at 615 to get me even remotely started this morning, plus a cup of tea and lots of stretching beforee my brain cleared enough to even sit up. And now my work schedule has changed. I have to be in about 30 minutes earlier -- which translates to leaving the house about an hour earlier to make room for traffic. It takes me an hour to 1.5 hours to get ready in the morning. Yes, I am *that* slow! Not a morning person at all.

I think at some point this week I am going to have to evaluate my schedule. I just don't have enough time to do it all.

  1. Mebbe you could look into getting a Wii? They have that new "Your Shape" program, which I've heard NOTHING but rave reviews about. That said, I use the Wii Sports, and it kicks my tuckus every time!

    Good luck! Love you!

  2. How about working out when you get home instead?

Seriously, as a natural night owl, getting up in the morning is tough. And there's no coming around to that!
