The Origin of Pets

Image
Having a new pet has released my husband's sense of humor The Origin of Pets Where do pets come from? It is reported that the following edition of the Book of Genesis was discovered in the Dead Seal Scrolls. If authentic, it would shed light on the question, "Where do pets come from?" And Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me everyday. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me." And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will know I love you, even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish and childish and unlovable you may be, this new companionwill accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself." And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pl

TOO MUCH MAIL!!!!

(more than too much hair, which is manageable now) Ever get overwhelmed and let something slip through the cracks? Ah well. I have more mail than I care to admit, snail and e- that I need to get sorted and responded to. Not enough time in the day. For all you dog owners out there, you'll be happy to know that Zoe's teething is driving me NUTS!!!! I need like a gallon of bitter apple. And now for my shower ... I hate getting up at 4:30.

Cat ... or dog?

My Funny Valentine

So, Tim got me a singing telegram, but there's a story that goes along with it ... A few days before he told me that I had to be home on Valentine's between 4 and 8 P.M. ... I ask why .. he won't say, so I say (imagine my smart mouth) "What, did you get me a singing telegram or something?" 1) I didn't know people still did that!! 2) I need to keep a better eye on the bank account, but on Sunday he said I could look after Valentine's Day. Tim says that he was very glad his face was turned away from me when he answered that no, he didn't get me a singing telegram. I think he thought at the time that I could read minds, but I'm just that good :) Valentine' sDay2007 These gals sounded GREAT .... and I am totally drawing a blank on the song they sang ... but I got a single read rose and a small box of See's Chocolates. Shiny =)

I don't think Zoe was too thrilled about being left home alone ...

Meet Zoe Valentine

This is our newest family member. Sort of an impulse, but Tim and I did talk about getting her ... I just got her a lot sooner than the house (and Boots) were ready for her. Boots still watches her .... very carefully.

NOW it's a good morning

Too Much HAIR!!!!!

Yeah, that's me with my braids out. Well, maybe not quite that bad, but it feels like it. Thick, unruly stuff. and I am STILL working the tangles out. But a co-worker gave me the name and number of someone else who does braids and will probably do mine for less than where I have been going. I keep telling myself that I am going to give my hair a break Everyone at work thinks I just cut my hair. I don't know how many time I have said "no, I took my braids out". One was really surprised that my hair was short AND gray in spots. I probably gained about 20 years in his eyes. oh well. At least the girls thought I was their age, till I told them

So here's Boots, who refused to move off the bed while Tim made it.

Gabfest

WOOT! Ok, so we are moving desks around (again!), and I didn't get between the two gals that I thought I would (for some UNKNOWN reason they switched me and Brandi), but I AM in between the two girls that I most usually have breaks and lunch with. That somewhat makes up for them TOTALLY screwing up our schedules (I have had a different scheduled break and lunch EVERY DAY this week. Do you have any idea how disconcerting that is?) So we're having a gabfest between calls. And it's COOL! We're all married, though I am the oldest by far (one just turned 20, the other just turned 21) so we talk about our kids (two of us have kids), budgets, shopping, our hubbies, and ... future plans. It's cool! Who woulda thunk that I had something in common with girls .... er ... much younger than me. But I am enjoying work, well, at least the people at work *huge grin* Hrm, maybe I am more social than I gave myself credit for ....
