I have it on CD. National Public Radio (I think) aired Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi as radio dramas back in the 80s. Brian Daley wrote the script, and Mark Hamill (Luke), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) and Billy Dee Williams (Lando) reprised their roles. Annette has gotten Star Wars and TESB for me - I still need ROTJ.
Interesting side note - Perry King does the voice for Han Solo in the radio drama. He was one of the actors originally considered for the on-screen role of Han Solo, but lost out to Harrison Ford.
Another interesting note - Spielberg and Lucas originally considered Tom Selleck for the role of Indiana Jones (there's some footage of him reaing for the role on the DVD extras), but Selleck had just gotten picked up for Magnum PI, so Harrison Ford got the nod.

Ok...I'm listening to the Star Wars radio drama when I click on this audio post....and the first words I hear are:
ReplyDelete"Vader, I demand that I be released from this cell and given access to formal legal proceedings!"
