There's a Wiggles song that keeps playing in my head as I (methodically, ploddingly) get through all my past due homework. Thank goodness for understanding teachers. Seems this term is just plagued with technical difficulties and whatnot. And the geek in me is still trying to find the optimum software and settings for my USB TV Tuner. Seems like maybe a TiVo, or even *gasp* a VCR would cause less headache, but be infintitely less portable :) Now to find the time to watch my class, get my writings done, and stay caught up on all that other stuff that lemming pointed out :)

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully. TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other. THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want. FOUR. When you say, "I love you," mean it. FIVE. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye. SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married. SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight. EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much. NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely. TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling. ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives. TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly. THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?" FOURTEEN. Remember that great love

so, does anyone want to be my math tutor? I'm beginning to remember that the only reason I made it through Calculus was because I had a LOT of help. Taking this class on an empty stomach and semi-empty brain is not the smartest thing I have done (translation, I need more sleep and a better grasp of the material being taught). And the damn change machine ate my dollar!!!! I'm thirsty! and hungry! and now a dollar short. Does that mean I'll be a day late for something later? :) /endbabble

Ever have one of those days when everything that comes out of your mouth seems to come out wrong? misinterpreted? and then you try to backtrack and make sense of what you just said, to get your meaning across, and that just makes it worse? So then you finally give up and shut up. Darn, I still have like 4 other posts from march to get up ... here's to insomnia (it's actually 1:31 AM, but I started this window hours ago). Math class in just a few hours. ouch

Week Two Quick Write: (class assignment that I thought I might share) Think of a person in your immediate family who provided a positive support to you. Share some experiences and attributes this person possesses. How has this made a positive impact on your life? The first person who comes to mind is my grandmother. During my parents divorce, my brothers and I moved in with her. Throughout my schooling (late elementary through high school) she encouraged me to follow my dreams of being a doctor and helped me academically while also encouraging my love of learning and ambition. I was never told that I couldn’t do something if it was related to my dreams. She seemed to share my ambition and showed pride when I met goals and accomplishments or exceeded those I had set for myself. She also taught me that if I work hard, it’s ok to give myself a break when I need it. She taught me to be self-reliant, creative, made me aware of my “bedside manner” or rather lack thereof, and reminded me ofte
