lonesome:ADJECTIVE: 1a. Dejected because of a lack of companionship
This is about the way I was feeling. I'm not much for solitude unless I am at the beach watching the waves. There is something so very calming about that. One of the myriad of reasons as to why I miss southern California. I can't exactly hit a beach to watch the moonlight on the waves at 3AM to get some perspective in Hillsboro, now can I? =)
But yeah, that night's lonliness was not one of feeling blessed. It was a profound lonliness that I haven't felt in a very long time.
And isn't Wiki great? Maybe one of these days I'll know something worth contributing to it.
I'm a nerdy Mom, recent grandmother, PMP, aspiring writer, amateur photographer, food devourer, wanderer, content editrix, social media maven, Research Goddess and all around general help. My main gift is translating tech into English. Android enthusiast and Browncoat extraordinaire. I write about my passions and interests and occasionally spit out a core dump related to my anxiety and depression.
I bet your husband would have been more than willing to keep you company. Why did you not wake him?
ReplyDeleteTried to earlier. He sleeps like the dead. I eventually got to sleep.

Whoops, I forgot my citation. That quote came from Wikipedia.
